Description

The Alma coat has an oversized, slightly curved cut, and a horizontal cut at the hips. The shoulders are long and wraparound. Its details include a tailored collar and two welt pockets on the sides. This pattern can be used without its lining to make a mid-season coat or a light summer jacket.

The pattern includes the lining.

You will find a photographic tutorial here and here.

Alma is worn with the Mona top and the June and Tilly pants.

This pattern is appropriate for advanced sewers. All seam allowances and hem amounts are included.

Material

You can use any warp and weft fabric. Wools will keep you warm, while those mixed with cotton or linen, and viscose, which are lighter, will be perfect for a mid-season jacket.

Our coat was made with a light brown wool cashmere blend from an Italian couture house. As for the mid-length jacket, it was sewn with a grey-blue translucent linen crepe.
