Material

We recommend light and robust fabrics: cotton, linen, soft leather, etc. Avoid fabrics that are too thick: it will be difficult to get a nice finish with clean edges when assembling the different layers of fabric. You can also skip the patch pockets on the back.

Our Napoli bags were cut from soft leather and cotton canvas in an icy brown colour. The two-tone model was sewn with an ecru cotton twill and a scrap of shiny black leatherette.

Minimum amounts of fabric for a width of between 90cm (35.4") and 1m50 (59.1"): 1m10 (43.3") or 2m10 (82.7", if you prefer to sew the strap in one piece).

You will also need:
- matching or contrasting thread,
- a 14 or 15mm (0.55" r 0.59") press stud (optional),
- a serger (optional).
